*MEDITATION WITH APOSTLE LEFOR DIVINE D.*

*Ecclesiastes 9:11(NLT)*

_"...The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle..."_

Oh how true this statement is in life! Our lives as believers in Christ can't be considered a merit of some hard work or achievement of our own efforts. _This will frustrate the grace of God in us._

*Firstly we live by faith (2 Cor 5:7).* And we know that even this faith which we exercise and build up to greater levels through the Word, was originally given to us by Him. It is written, _"...think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith" (Rom 12:3)._ So the true Christian experience is not your life you are trying to live out but the life of Christ manifesting through you (Gal 2:20).

The Apostle Paul knew this so well and showed us the wisdom of Kingdom living. *We don't try approaching life just from the 'work harder' perspective.* While we will labour and definitely even labour more than others, it is not us labouring but the grace of God in us. Paul said, _"But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me—and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace" (1Cor 15:10 NLT)._

*When God is the One at work in and through you, be rest assured you can't fail because He never fails!* That is why every believer should be _destiny conscious_ so he aligns his life just to the will of the Father and therefore does everything by His strength alone! It is written, _"...for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose" (Philip 2:13 NIV)._

We can therefore find comfort in the above Scripture when we know God is for us and He has poured out His unfailing mercies towards us. _"So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy" (Rom 9:16)._

*CONFESSION:*

_*"Thank You Father for Your unfailing mercies in my life which are new every morning. By Your grace alone I become the best I can be through the Word of Your grace that builds me up and gives me my inheritance amongst the saints."*_
